Your roof is one of the most important parts of your structure. Without a properly functioning roof, you can have mold problems, water leaks, structural damage, and so many other issues. When you have a commercial structure, you not only have unique structural needs, but your commercial roofing needs are also usually more intense and compounded when there are issues. Here at A-Denver Roofing, we have a few tips when it comes to hiring the right commercial roofing contractors for your needs.
First, get more than one quote. Quotes from contractors can vary wildly, so getting more than one quote can help you figure out what an actual job like yours will cost. There are also websites that will guide you in the direction of quotes and average costs for a task.
Second, choose experience whenever possible. There are some great contractors out there who have started up a business recently and don’t have a lot of years in business, but loads of experience. Talk with them to make sure you know how much experience they have with roofing projects like yours to give yourself peace of mind.
Third, make sure you are able to hire a roofer with experience in commercial roofing—not just residential. While there are contractors who can do both types of work, be wary of ones who primarily do residential work and are just willing to “give commercial roofing a try.” You don’t want to be a guinea pig for their skills!
